History: Unifi Credit was founded through the acquisition and amalgamation of various successful microfinance institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2015, Unity Finance in Zambia was acquired and in 2017, a stake was obtained in Ultimate Finance in Tanzania. One year later, the two businesses amalgamated with Cobol Loans and its world-class loans management system, UniBos, in South Africa. Each of these companies are, and always have been, driven by a strong focus on offering faster, simpler lending through tech, data analytics and outstanding customer service. Today, Unifi Credit employs over 250 staff members across the different countries and from our head office in Stellenbosch we offer centralised IT, credit, marketing and financial services to the group.
