Role description
We're seeking a curious, hands-on Data Scientist to join our UK-based pet insurance company, Waggel. You'll work alongside our Machine Learning Engineer and Data Engineer to help us become a truly data-centric company. In this role, you'll explore our growing wealth of data, uncover insights, and develop early-stage predictive models that can evolve into production-ready implementations.
You'll be performing exploratory data analysis, collaborating with the broader data team to identify high-impact use cases for AI, and prototyping models to test hypotheses. We're looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in data science, strong understanding of statistics and machine learning, and proficiency in Python and SQL. You'll also support our ML Engineer in building production-grade models and work closely with other teams to frame business problems as data science questions.
