Role description
Junior Full Stack Developer
You will be joining a team at Vleissentraal Eiendomme/Properties
The role:
As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining modern web applications using our core technology stack: Next.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and Docker. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to bring new features from conception to deployment, ensuring a high-quality user experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and fast-learning junior developer to grow their skills in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to full-stack development: Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining features for both the front-end and back-end of our applications.
Build with Next.js: Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code for Next.js applications, leveraging its features for server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
Manage data with Prisma and PostgreSQL: Work with the Prisma ORM to interact with and manage our PostgreSQL database, including writing migrations and defining data models.
Develop RESTful APIs: Assist in building and integrating APIs to facilitate seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end.
Ensure consistency with Docker: Collaborate on containerizing applications using Docker and docker-compose to ensure consistent development, testing, and production environments.
Participate in the development lifecycle: Engage in code reviews, contribute to sprint planning, and assist with debugging and troubleshooting to ensure application performance and quality.
Stay current on technology: Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies and best practices in web development.
Qualifications:
1+ years of professional experience or a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating proficiency with the required technologies.
Front-end skills: Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, and the Next.js framework.
Back-end skills: Familiarity with server-side development, databases, and ORMs, with practical experience using Prisma and PostgreSQL.
DevOps and tooling: Experience with version control (Git) and familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication: Great communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
Mindset: A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced development team.
Own Equipment and internet access is a must have.
