Role description

Join our dynamic team at HEX Microsystems in Somerset West as a Senior Electronic/Embedded Engineer. We're looking for a creative problem-solver with a strong background in embedded systems to develop cutting-edge solutions for the consumer automotive market. You'll play a crucial role in our product development lifecycle, working on device firmware, client application software, and backend server aspects.

In this role, you'll design and develop embedded firmware using C, create supporting software applications across various platforms, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team using Git. We're seeking someone with 6-10 years of experience, proficient in C/C++, Java, and embedded systems development. Your expertise in working across different technology stacks will be invaluable as you contribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical innovation.

We offer a hybrid work environment, with 2-3 days per week in the office for the first 3-12 months. If you're passionate about electronic engineering, have a knack for software development, and possibly share an enthusiasm for motorcycles or automotive technology, we'd love to have you on our team. If you worked for us you would tell people that we make really cool nerd toys and accessories for some of the biggest brands in the automotive industry. But a more techy description would be that we develop electronic micro-assemblies, hardware and software for automotive diagnostics - including our own GS-911 and ezCAN products.
