Role description
We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of HelloPrint's scalable ecommerce infrastructure. You'll play a crucial role in shaping our API-first future, driving modernization, and mentoring team members. Based in Valencia or Rotterdam, you'll work on building robust APIs, optimizing performance, and ensuring our systems scale globally.
In this role, you'll architect our API layer, own key backend services, and lead the modernization of our existing system. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate ambitious goals into well-engineered solutions. We're looking for someone with 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, deep expertise in PHP8, and a strong API-first mindset. You should be strategic, pragmatic, and have a proactive ownership mentality.
