About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled BI Developer to join our team in a dynamic, insights-driven role.

Focus of the position:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making in a complex, high-volume credit environment.

• Hands-on technical role with responsibility to interpret business requirements and translate them into impactful, user-friendly reports and dashboards.

• A solid understanding of credit and financial services concepts is essential to ensure data insights are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.

Minimum Experience

• At least 4 years’ experience implementing innovative BI solutions that drive clear business decisions and benefits.

• At least 4 years’ experience in data analysis, including database structure design and ETL principles.

• At least 4 years’ experience with visualisation tools, including 2 years with Power BI (DAX, M).

• At least 4 years’ experience in SQL (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) including cleaning, enriching, transforming, mapping, aggregating, and normalising data.

• Experience with product development life cycle and Agile frameworks.

• Experience managing projects end-to-end: planning, scoping, budgeting, and timelines.

Ideal:

• BI development or data analysis across industries such as finance, insurance, telecoms, and risk.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• A relevant degree in Statistics or Finance

Ideal/Preferred:

• Certification in AWS Practitioner

Knowledge

Minimum:

• Strong understanding and application of BI and Data Warehousing best practice

• Proficiency in Python or R (or another relevant programming language)

• Expertise in BI development (reports, dashboards, visualisation)

• Extensive knowledge of BI/reporting and analytical tools

• Deep knowledge of BI environments, solutions, and end-to-end architectures

• Familiarity with data analysis methodologies: Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, Prescriptive Analytics

• Knowledge of SQL query languages, preferably AWS (Redshift, Athena, DataLake, Python, PostgreSQL, MySQL) or MS Technologies (Azure, SQL, SSAS)

• Understanding of Agile principles

• Good grasp of design and user experience principles

Ideal:

• Advanced knowledge of Power BI services (AI, ML, Cognitive services in Power Platform)

• Working knowledge of AWS ecosystem and services

• Experience developing reports in a financial/banking environment
