Role description
We're expanding our internal development team at My Fuel Orders (MFO), a rapidly growing fuel logistics platform operating across Southern Africa. Our platform is at the heart of real-world commerce, handling everything from customer onboarding and credit management to ERP integrations and high-volume fuel orders. We're seeking a Backend Developer to join us in building secure, scalable systems as we bring development in-house.
In this role, you'll develop and maintain backend services using C# , .NET, and SQL Server. You'll work on API integrations with ERP systems, payment platforms, and logistics partners, while optimizing databases, queries, and overall system performance. Collaborating closely with our product, finance, and operations teams, you'll solve real-world business problems and contribute to building a resilient platform that scales across Africa.
We're looking for a developer with 5 years of backend experience, strong API and integration skills, and exposure to financial/ERP systems. You should be passionate about solving business problems with clean, scalable code and eager to grow, learn, and take ownership. Join us and work on a live, scaling platform with significant expansion plans. Your code will directly impact revenue, logistics, and operations across multiple countries. Our Engineering Processes
Our engineering team is currently outsourced. We're on a mission to bring this in-house and use a range of technologies, with scope to include even more in future. At the moment we're using a variety of Mircosoft products, SQL, C# , .net, Zoho (for CRM and customer support), Sage ERP and accounting software (which we're heavily integrated with). We have a number of new areas to explore while we build flexible, but scalable solutions that meet the needs of our users across the African continent.
