Role description
We're seeking an accomplished Software Development Manager to lead our multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and platform specialists. You'll drive innovative, scalable digital solutions across cloud, mobile, web, and API channels, while collaborating with enterprise and solution architects to align with business priorities. Your role will be crucial in shaping our software development and platform evolution.
As our ideal candidate, you'll champion modern engineering practices, foster an inclusive, high-performance culture, and support career growth within agile environments. You'll guide technical solution designs, drive developer training, and set development standards that respect compliance, security, and operational best practices. Your expertise in software engineering concepts will ensure all solutions adhere to technical standards and promote continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone with 5-10 years of software development experience, 2+ years as a Solution Architect, and 3-5 years in a leadership role. You should be well-versed in cloud computing (AWS and Azure), API platform creation, and have a NQF8 level qualification in Engineering or Computer Science.
