At Float, we're revolutionizing the way shoppers pay over time without accumulating debt, while driving growth for our merchants. We're seeking an experienced Rails-first engineer to elevate our core platform as we bring more development in-house. You'll be at the heart of our codebase, delivering features, optimizing performance, and ensuring smooth payment operations.

In this hands-on role, you'll design and build new instalment-payment features using our Ruby on Rails and Hotwire stack. You'll be responsible for maintaining platform stability, implementing secure payment integrations, and extending our merchant-facing API. We're looking for someone who excels in solving complex problems and can contribute to shaping our technical direction alongside our Tech Lead.

You'll bring 5+ years of experience building production apps, preferably with Rails 7. We value deep SQL expertise, comfort with Hotwire/Turbo and JavaScript, and basic DevOps skills.
