Location: South Africa (100% Remote)
Employment Type: Permanent Contract

The Role
We are looking for a curious, intelligent, and ambitious Full Stack JavaScript Developer who’s ready to buy into our vision and help us shape the future of marketing technology.
You will work across the full SDLC from architecture sessions, planning, and estimation, to development, testing, and debugging. You’ll implement front-end designs from wireframes and templates using React, and ensure seamless back-end integration for a high-quality, scalable experience.
Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that:
- Innovates new ad formats and engagement tools for global brands.
- Builds award-winning solutions that stand out in the marketing industry.
- Pushes Blue Robot toward a future where generative AI is our primary development engine.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain existing custom-built software.
- Create new features and tools designed to enhance campaign performance.
- Integrate with third-party APIs (Meta, 𝕏, Spotify, etc.).
- Collaborate on impactful formats that drive engagement and win awards.
- Contribute to the core system that will power our long-term vision.
- Champion clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- React (4+ years)
- JavaScript (3+ years)
- Node.js (2+ years)
- MySQL
- Proven experience building scalable web-based APIs.
- Strong engineering mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for marketing and advertising — with an interest in award-winning creative and technology.
- Willingness to immerse yourself in the industry and bring ideas that influence campaigns.
Nice-to-Have Skills
CSS, HTML5, Docker, REST, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Redux, RabbitMQ, Firebase, Google Cloud, React Router, Next.js, Vercel.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Exposure to adtech, martech, or campaign-based platforms.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools in software development.
- Knowledge of 𝕏 Public APIs, Meta.
- A sense of humour and a collaborative spirit.

- Information 15-20 intro call
- 60 min practical problem-solving session with 2-3 members from our development team
