Full-Stack Developer

Overview:

We are building a web-based teacher portal and backend system to connect with our Unity-based educational game app.

We need a feature-rich system supporting both home and school users, with features such as learner progress and performance tracking, lesson locking/unlocking, role-based data access, subscriptions and vouchers—all built with an emphasis on clean, scalable, and secure architecture.

Location: Norwood, Johannesburg

Responsibilities:

• Webportal development

• Database development and management

• Backend and API development

• Following best practices for data security

• Following best practices for optimisation and scalability

• Troubleshooting

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in full-stack development

• Strong skills in:

• React

• Node.js (Express or similar)

• NoSQL databases (Firebase or MongoDB)

• MySQL databases

• PHP

• REST API development

• Ability to propose secure and scalable architectures

• Strong communication and documentation skills

Bonus Experience:

• Power BI Embedded (or other analytics tools)

• Familiarity with the Unity Game Engine or Unity backends

• Knowledge of C# (for integration with the game)
