Role description
Join NOV Africa's Rig Technologies team in Gqeberha as an ICS Security Engineer. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures for digital products, working directly with technical leaders across the organization. Your expertise will be vital in selecting, deploying, and validating cybersecurity controls to reduce exposure and maintain security and compliance requirements.
In this position, you'll analyze network designs and software implementations, ensuring that controls are relevant, properly documented, and maintained for our products and services. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create solutions that meet customer needs while minimizing cybersecurity risks. Your responsibilities will include developing cybersecurity execution plans, addressing security alerts, improving OT vulnerability and remediation capabilities, and conducting incident response tasks.
We're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field, along with 2+ years of experience in OT environments and ICS security. You should have expertise in industrial network protocols, DCS/SCADA systems, and experience with PLCs, embedded systems, and various security technologies.
