Agile Project Manager (Software Engineering)

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and be skilled in facilitating collaboration between development teams and business stakeholders. This person will be structured, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple software projects while ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous delivery. Experience with Agile tools such as Jira is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the VP of Software Engineering, the Agile Project Manager will be responsible for:

Facilitating Agile Ceremonies – Leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Defining & Refining Requirements – Collaborating with business units and product teams to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements.

Managing Project Scope & Execution – Ensuring projects are aligned with business priorities and development team capacity.

Backlog & Sprint Management – Working with Product Owners and development teams to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.

Utilizing Agile Tools – Managing project progress, sprint velocity, and team performance using Jira or other Agile tools.

Identifying & Managing Risks – Proactively identifying potential blockers and working with teams to resolve them.

Optimizing Delivery – Supporting teams in improving efficiency and ensuring timely, high-quality software releases.

Stakeholder Communication – Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams to align on priorities and expectations.

Driving Continuous Improvement – Encouraging Agile best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Relevant Skills / Experience

5+ years’ experience in an Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in software development.

Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and best practices.

Hands-on experience with Jira or other Agile project management tools.

Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine project requirements.

Strong facilitation skills for Agile ceremonies, stakeholder discussions, and conflict resolution.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.

Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
