Job Description
Purpose:
Design new IT solutions and processes to improve business efficiency and productivity by working closely with IT and executive management in order to align ongoing projects and activities with the strategic business goals and plan of the business unit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to understand their business and expectations
- Accurately and completely document current and future state of business processes and work flows
- Presentation of technical concepts or solutions to internal and external business as well as customers
- Conduct and capture user requirements sessions according to established methodologies (UML etc.)
- Prepare specifications, project charters, cost estimates, technology research documentation as appropriate
- Promote new technologies and solutions to financial institutions
- Manage projects through life cycle
- Develop business cases to assess process improvement opportunities
- Use practical experience and industry best practice knowledge to support BPR strategy, approach, methodologies and tools
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and process owners to ensure all design requirements adequately reflect the defined business processes and fully support all components of the functional business requirements
- Identify ways to extract useful data from multiple sources and develop methods to analyse the data
- Ensure that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Visio, process design and simulation and statistical analysis tools, and MS SQL Manager.
Solution Appraisal:
- Observe and evaluate the outcomes of a problem solution to identify lessons learned or redirect efforts.
Computers and Electronics:
- Knowledge of software including applications and programming.
Technical Understanding:
- Possess understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design.
Analyse and Solution Definition:
- Understand the business issues and data challenges of the client's organisation and industry.
- Identify client organisation's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
- Develop functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
Technical Recommendation and Testing:
- Lead testing efforts.
- Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with client personnel to identify required changes.
- Communicate required changes to development team.
Project Execution:
- Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
- Obtain input from supervisor and accurately apply comments/feedback.
- Communicate and apply project standards.
- Manage resources in accordance with project schedule.
- Consistently deliver high-quality service to clients.
- Understand the components of running a fiscally successful project.

Our hiring process
e4 ensures that every candidate recruited by the company is placed appropriately, spending real-time in matching people to positions. e4 uses various recruitment tools, including Remchannel to benchmark salaries and packages against market information and PI profiling to help match roles correctly.
The first interview is basically a meet and greet session to get a sense of who the candidate is and what their goals are. This can either be at a coffee shop, in office or even over Skype. The second part consists of an aptitude test and technical assessment. Should the candidate pass both sessions we will extend an offer of employment.
