Role description
Agentic AI Incubator
Tregter has partnered with Deloitte Africa and AWS to deliver Agentic AI Proof of Concepts at all of Deloitte's top clients - this project has been titled The Agentic AI Incubator. The clients involved include banks, mines, insurance companies, and more. This incubator is the first of its kind in Africa and offers all involved parties the rare opportunity to work with bleeding edge technologies at an enterprise scale.
The Role
Our team is in charge of delivering software solutions for the incubator. The interface for data is no longer dashboards. Agentic AI has made data interactive, meaning that we need to build frontend solutions (React) for existing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. Most projects will involve wrapping a secure API layer (Python) around AWS services such as AWS Bedrock and AWS Agent Core.
While the patterns that we follow are traditional, the underlying technologies are changing rapidly - meaning an individual who enjoys learning new technologies would be the best fit for the role. Many of our stakeholders are semi-technical and non-technical, meaning you should be comfortable explaining in layman and translating requirements without overwhelming technical jargon (leave that for us nerds).
The Client
For this specific project we are working closely with Deloitte and AWS for the next 12 to 18 months. While the work is fully remote, there is an opportunity to work at Deloitte's V&A offices once a week if preferred (they usually entice us to go in with burgers or pizzas). The client is corporate in nature, meaning that a certain level of professionalism must be maintained - eg. expected to be presentable even when on camera. Due to the size of the clients that we interface with you may be required to do criminal checks, as you will be getting access to sensitive systems and data.
The Team
Tregter is an engineer-only company. While your larger delivery team will include individuals from Deloitte and their clients, you will always be able to fall back on our internal team with strong expertise in web development, data engineering, cloud networking & hosting, database management, and more.
