Role description
We’re looking for Quality Assurance Engineers with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts network.
You should have extensive experience working with E2E delivery teams enabling them to deliver software products to meet business outcomes. You will also have a deep understanding of agile and lean delivery principles and know how and when to implement them, using several different methodologies.
As a QA representative of the team you will also be required to have a strong understanding of both product and technical aspects that impact quality which includes being a part of user requirements analysis, understanding data requirements and the general operability and resilience of the product.
**Responsibilities
**
At Equal Experts, the QA role is not carried out within a vacuum; our QAs form a core part of the delivery team throughout an engagement, ensuring that relevant tests are fully considered, designed and performed at the appropriate points. Your responsibilities will include:
Working with the client and the team to ensure quality is embedded in every aspect of delivery
Provide support and leadership by mentoring client team members in quality principles
Collaborate closely with the developers; driving the development of test frameworks and engaging in technical discussions
Make sure the testing practices are improved upon continuously and iteratively
Maintaining a holistic view of the spectrum of tests implemented to support the drive towards continuous delivery
Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments
**Required Skills
**
Considers testability across all phases of the software development life cycle and displays a deep knowledge of test methodologies.
Displays a wide range of testing skills, knows how to apply them and possesses a deep appreciation for non functional testing concerns.
Seeks to enable the team to deliver quality products and services. Acts as a catalyst for mediation and collaboration within the team.
Contributes to the implementation and design of high quality pipelines through pragmatic choices of testing tools and frameworks.
Plays an active part in discussions regarding application architecture and understands the implications of those decisions on quality.
Demonstrates an understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration.
Has experience with multiple languages and is willing to learn new development skills in order to participate in collaborative programming and pairing.
Has an analytical mindset and is naturally inquisitive. Pays attention to fine grained detail and demonstrates an ability to zoom out to a holistic view.
