Why Work For Us
Get exposure to the latest web (angular) and cloud (azure) technologies. We offer flexible work hours with a relaxed dress code - most of the time we wear shorts and sneakers - but on occasion need to dress up when a client is expected at the office. Our offices are situated at the Dean Street Arcade, Dean Street, Newlands, Cape Town. Shops and restaurants are downstairs (Woolies, Knead, Vida etc) and a pharmacy. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a JURA coffee machine.
The culture of the team is one of continuous learning, and new team members will be expected to add to the collective knowledge of the team. Being a start up company we have deadlines to meet, and being a small company there is nowhere to hide. Every member of the team is expected to make a significant contribution, which is rewarded with a bonus and incentive scheme.
Our Track Record
FIT was founded by Tarquin Vaughan-Scott and recently joined by Riaan Kirchner. Both are ex-owners of Infovest and have 12 years’ experience creating data driven solutions for leading finance and asset management companies. In the past we have worked with companies such as Investec, Old Mutual Investments, Sanlam, Momentum, Cadiz, Curo Fund Services, Futuregrowth Asset Management, Edge Capital, PPS Investments, Corion Capital, Stanlib, Triasima Investments (Canada), and many more. FIT currently employs 9 developers specializing in cloud technology.
Our Engineering Processes
We use a SCRUM and AGILE approach to development with weekly SPRINT cycles. We also create unit tests and have a CONTINOUS INTEGRATION pipeline that builds the solution and runs tests when code is checked in.
Our Hiring Process
A simple interview and a coding exercise you can do in your own time. The exercise should not take more than 2 hours.
