Flat Rock Solutions has been a mobile software pioneer in the entry-level Android smartphone space since 2014 with its work on ground breaking devices like the MTN Steppa and Airtel Red. Our OS embedded platform called Mobila is specifically optimised for affordable smartphones and focused on the needs of low income African users. Now in partnership with Steinhoff Africa Retail (STAR) we are building out our platform to provide STAR's customers with a mobile gateway to localised and trusted financial and content services, as well as features that enhance the experience of using a low cost smartphone. STAR is one of Africa’s leading retail groups focused on the value market with more than 4,800 stores in 12 countries across Africa including PEP Stores and Ackermans. It is also the largest retailer of mobile devices in Southern Africa selling over 12 milion devices in these markets every year.

Our Hiring Process
Our hiring process is straightforward. The first interview will probably be a quick Skype interview with one of the founders, followed by a face-to-face interview that would look at both fit and technical skills. We may then ask you to deliver some code which we would discuss with you.
