Role description
# We're looking for a senior Ruby on Rails developer to take full ownership of the Dalza backend on a part-time basis (50% of your working week).
We're seeking a a strong Ruby on Rails backend developer with good PostgreSQL and RESTful experience, comfortable working with background jobs, external APIs/webhooks, payments, and production-grade integrations.
You should be comfortable taking full ownership from planning through launch, writing clean and maintainable code, and thriving in the autonomy and collaboration that comes with an early-stage environment.
Strong communication skills are essential, you'll work closely with product, design, frontend, and other teams to bring our vision to life.

You need to be comfortable with:
- Redis and Sidekiq for background jobs
- Sidekiq / Cron for scheduled jobs
- AWS + Terraform
- AWS S3 for storing files
- Devise / Devise Token Auth for authentication
- Stripe for subscriptions and payments
- Mailjet for emails
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- GetStream for chat
- Sentry for error monitoring
- RSpec/Rswag for testing and API documentation
- Docker for local development
