Role description

Your role

To be effective in this role, you will be technically capable and possess a blend of industry knowledge and technical skills;

As a Senior Software Developer you will be expected to liaise and collaborate with fellow members of the Retail Directions Development Team, including Retail Consulting; Account Management; Architecture; RMS ERP application; Store Systems; Technical Services and support. The Developer will implement advanced software solutions and front-end enhancements for logistics and WMS.

Join our team to help us build and enhance our warehouse management system mobile app and dashboard.

You will be required to possess:

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business or related commercial field.

• Demonstrable equivalent experience.

• Proven experience writing software requirements specifications

• Familiarity with software design and engineering principles

• Extensive knowledge of SQL using SQL Server

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Xamarin and mobile development

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of C# , WPF, and WCF

• Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP) and IIS.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in warehouse management systems

• Prior experience using DevOps

• Commercial software development experience in logistics and warehousing

• Prior experience using MAUI

• Able to learn Retail Directions software applications and their underlying architecture to the level required.

• Ability to investigate and manage customer support calls

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both with others and autonomously as required.

• Be highly motivated and have a confident approach when dealing with colleagues, clients, peers, and partners.

• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, with ability to communicate clearly in English over the telephone, in writing, and in person.
