About Lucro

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Lucro’s AI-powered fintech platform used by healthcare practices.
- Architect scalable, secure backend systems using Python, AWS, and microservices principles.
- Build and optimize AI functionality across financial data ingestion, processing, and recommendation layers.
- Integrate and manage AI tools and frameworks (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, or semantic search via Weaviate).
- Collaborate on the product roadmap to ensure technical feasibility and scalability of AI-driven features.
- Develop APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices using Restate and modern Python frameworks.
- Establish SOPs, code standards, and scalable development workflows for the engineering team.
- Drive code quality, performance, and maintainability through best-in-class development practices.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and create a high-performance engineering culture.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, AWS, React, and microservice architecture.
- Proven experience building or integrating AI systems, ideally within fintech or SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, LLM integrations, embeddings, and semantic search tools such as Weaviate or vector databases.
- Solid experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Restate, Kafka, or equivalent).
- Background or familiarity with fintech, healthcare tech, or accounting automation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in AI-focused fintech or healthtech.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, ledger systems, or practice management workflows.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI agents, workflow automation, or predictive analytics.
