Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building scalable backend systems, has a deep understanding of databases and API integrations, and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain robust backend systems using PHP (Laravel), MySQL, and RESTful APIs.

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration across the stack.

• Design scalable database models and optimize queries for performance and reliability.

• Integrate and manage third-party services such as payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Paygate) and communication APIs (e.g., SendGrid).

• Manage background jobs, caching (Redis), and queue systems to enhance application responsiveness.

• Ensure system security and data protection through well-structured architecture and secure coding practices.

• Debug, test, and maintain high-quality code following CI/CD workflows.

• Proactively stay up to date with backend development trends and best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proficiency in PHP with strong experience using Laravel Framework.

• Solid understanding of MySQL and database design principles.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs, API documentation tools (like Postman), and integrating external services.

• Familiarity with Redis, job queues, and real-time notifications.

• Experience managing server environments (preferably Digital Ocean, Laravel Forge).

• Competence in Git version control, branching workflows, and deployment pipelines.

• Understanding of security principles, data validation, and error reporting tools (e.g., Sentry).

• Experience in e-commerce development, stock/payment management, and integrations is a strong advantage.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with headless CMS, GraphQL, and webhooks.

• Exposure to DevOps workflows, automated deployments, and containerization tools.

• Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., Vue.js or Nuxt.js) to better collaborate with frontend teams.

• Experience with Native App integrations (Ionic Capacitor) and backend for mobile applications.
