About the role

The Level II Full Stack Software Engineer is an essential member of a dynamic, cross-functional team, contributing to every phase of the software development lifecycle—from concept and development to deployment and operation. Engineers at this level are responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software systems and applications according to specifications, while adhering to established standards. They translate requirements from business or technical analysts and actively collaborate with the delivery team in design and problem-solving.

This role is integral to Capitec’s Live Better rewards program, managing the rewards system that calculates benefits based on clients' transaction spend. The system determines benefits according to the type of transactions performed by clients over a specific period, ensuring a rewarding experience for Capitec’s clients.

Our ideal candidate has

• Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Preferred)

• 4+ years’ proven experience in Full Stack Software Development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)

• Experience with both front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies
