About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Front-end Software Engineer with a robust background in modern development practices. You will play an integral part in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to development, deployment, and ultimately operating each product.

As a Front-end Software Engineer, you will be responsible for translating design mockups into interactive and user-friendly interfaces, focusing on intuitive user experiences for mobile and web applications. You will work extensively with JavaScript, React.js, CSS, MUI, TypeScript, and Webpack. Our backends are powered by Java Spring Boot, and everything is hosted on AWS, offering you a comprehensive environment to hone your skills and contribute to our dynamic projects.

At this level, you will also be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems and applications, considering scalability, performance, and future requirements. Additionally, you will guide and support developers and stakeholders in scoping, progress, status, and resolution of engineering problems.

Our ideal candidate has

• Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (preferred)

• 6+ years’ proven experience in front-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks and technologies
