Job Specification

Role: Senior Front-End Developer

OVEX is looking for a senior front end developer who will lead a team of 3 intermediate developers to

build and scale our mobile and web applications. As a team lead, you will have full ownership of multiple

repositories and would ideally maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines.

● Roles and responsibilities:

● Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality, responsive web applications

using React Native and Next.js.

● Expand and enforce best-practices to ensure code performance and maintainability.

● Collaborate with business stakeholders to transform requirements into actionable pieces

of work for the rest of the team.

● Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement UI/UX designs.

● Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable

devices and browsers.

● Mentor and upskill junior developers.

● Contribute to system architecture design.

● Requirements:

● Extensive experience with TypeScript and the development of REST APIs.

● At least 5 years of experience with front-end technologies such as React, HTML, CSS, and

JavaScript/TypeScript/CoffeeScript.

● Experience with front-end build tools and package managers such as Webpack, NPM,

and Yarn.

● Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and experience collaborating with

designers.

● Ability to take a project from identifying objectives, defining the testing plan,

implementing testing all the way through to actual launch of the project and ongoing

monitoring of the performance of the project.

● Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills.

● Preferred:

● A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

● Experience building and maintaining GraphQL interfaces.

● Experience using Tailwind CSS and Storybook.

● Experience with docker and kubernetes.

● Experience leading and mentoring other developers
