Application Developer

Managed Service Provider looking for a experienced individual to join the team. We require an application developer servicing SME and Corporate market segment. You will have to design, develop and support solutions based on the below framework & technologies.

Job Duties:

Writing medium to complex systems and applications using best software development practices.

Investigating issues and requests received from Clients.

Assisting with data manipulation, database changes and database design.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build new features.

Fixing bugs and improving application performance.

Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.

Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.

Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements.

Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.

Analysing documentation and providing time estimates for tickets.

Our story..... Mars Technologies was founded in 1998 in East London, Eastern Cape. In January 2009 they opened doors in Port Elizabeth and exceeded all the market’s expectations. In 2014 Mars Technologies acquired the majority shareholding in the Durban based company, CAIS and took sole ownership 1 August 2015. CAIS was established in 1997 with its primary focus being the sales and implementation of high-end business software such as Syspro and Baan. Subsequently CAIS expanded to supply a broad range of ICT solutions to its significant customer base in the medium to large range throughout South Africa. CAIS specialised in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system sales, implementation and support; IT infrastructure outsourcing and network infrastructure sales and support. In 2000 the Managed Services Division was launched which then became 80% of the business. This division thrived over the following years allowing the company to become profitable and successful with new branches in Johannesburg and Cape Town. In 2015 CAIS was bought out 100% by Mars Technologies and the two companies merged in September 2015. In September 2015 the 2 companies merged to form one big formidable Mars Technologies, a force to be reckoned with throughout South Africa, with regional offices in Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape(Port Elizabeth and East London) and Western Cape.
