Role description

Junior JavaScript developer

We are looking for a highly motivated junior javascript developer with a can-do attitude to join our team. This is not just another junior developer role, we are looking for someone with a problem-solving mindset, a passion for learning, and the drive to contribute meaningfully from day one. You will be mentored by one of our team leaders who will be evaluating your skills/progress and assign tasks to you accordingly.

Responsibilities

Completing various development task assigned to you which may include new features, enhancements and bug fixes on our existing product.

Understanding the scope of these tasks by collaborating with our configuration team as well as with the development team and ensuring effort is put into code quality, UX, security and performance.

Merging code, testing and deploying onto our staging environments.

Requirements

Degree, diploma, certificate related to programming or previous working experience in a programming related role.

Experience with Node.js

Experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS/JSON

Experience with libraries such as jquery

Creating and merging branches in GIT

Optional requirements

SSH for running deployment scripts

Experience with SQL databases

Experience with libraries such as devexpress
