Stephen van der Heijden
VP of Growth at
OfferZen

Since his first job at a small tech start-up, Stephen has gained experience across Africa, primarily in building marketplace businesses. Currently, as the VP of Growth at OfferZen, his main focus is on continuously making an increased impact on the global software community. He spends a lot of time thinking and reading about the rising role and responsibility of software engineering in our society, and how we can organise ourselves to build a better future.

Jeremy Edberg
Founder of MinOps and former Architect at Netflix and Reddit

Jeremy is an angel investor and advisor for various incubators and startups, and the CEO and founder of MinOps. He was the founding Reliability Engineer for Netflix and before that he ran ops for reddit as its first engineering hire. Jeremy also tech-edited the highly acclaimed AWS for Dummies. He is a noted speaker in serverless computing, distributed computing, availability, rapid scaling, and cloud computing, and holds a Cognitive Science degree from UC Berkeley.

Ray McDonnell
Enterprise Account Director
at LinkedIn

Ray works with some of LinkedIn’s largest clients in Southern Africa, advising them on how to use data and insight to make better strategic decisions. He spends time working with companies to improve their overall end-to-end talent strategy. Ray has experienced a non-linear career path having spent 10 years in the hospitality industry before joining LinkedIn in 2014. He counts himself lucky that his passion for transformation has been fulfilled through various roles over his 7 years with LinkedIn.
