Announcing New Roles: Design, Data Science and Product Management

4 October 2017 , by Philip Joubert

Since launching OfferZen in December 2015, we’ve helped hundreds of fellow developers to find awesome jobs. We focused exclusively on software developers - mainly because it’s what we understood best.

But building software requires more than just the people who write code. Modern software is made beautiful by UI designers, intuitive by UX designers and personal by data scientists. And, of course, it needs scrum masters and product managers to ensure that the team runs well.

It’s not lost on us that, in the past, we haven’t been able to help any of the excellent people who applied to us from these backgrounds. That’s why I'm super excited to announce that OfferZen is expanding to more roles!

We’re launching new tech roles

Going forward, we will not only help developers but also UI and UX designers, QA testers, scrum masters, product owners and data scientists to find great jobs. Companies can now build an entire world-class tech team through us and simplify their hiring processes even more.

Keep in mind these are big changes for OfferZen - so please bear with us as we figure it out. All feedback is welcome and will directly help us shape our new product!

A brand new look

While making product changes for new roles, we realised it was about time we updated our website as well.

Over the past year, our marketing and T-shirt designs have become, for lack of a better word, more unicorn. We loved how people responded to the new designs (thanks for all the great feedback!) and wanted the website to reflect that.

We also felt our website should be more human and personal. Internally, we've always been very people and community-focused, but our previous site didn't convey that.

There’s still a bit of work left to do on the site, like adding animations, but in true startup-style, we decided to launch early.

The ability to build software has always felt like a superpower to me and I believe it’s one of the most leveraged ways to improve the world today. That's why I’m so excited about this change for OfferZen - we’re now in a position to help a lot more people build awesome software.
