Shiftr is a digital transformation consultancy that helps South African businesses modernise how they operate — integrating and optimising the right tools across finance, inventory, point-of-sale, operations, and business intelligence. We work across the spectrum, from corporates and national operators to fast-growing SMEs and leading wine estates, replacing manual work and legacy systems with connected, data-driven ways of working.

Our recent work spans a multi-year data and forecasting modernisation for a national utility, end-to-end operational transformations across hospitality and retail, and discovery-to-roadmap engagements for established distribution businesses. We're now scaling, and this is a foundational hire.

The Role

We're looking for a Delivery Lead who can own digital transformation projects end-to-end — from scoping through to go-live — and be the person clients trust to land the work. You'll run engagements as the on-the-ground solution and delivery lead, working closely with the founder, who stays involved as principal on each account.

This is a hands-on ownership role, not a coordination one. You'll be making solution decisions, managing client relationships day-to-day, leading change management, and being accountable for delivery quality and timelines. As Shiftr grows, this role grows with it — into managing other consultants and a delivery function.

What you'll do

• Lead digital transformation projects from discovery and scoping through implementation and go-live

• Translate business needs into practical solutions across accounting, inventory, POS, operations, and reporting/BI systems

• Run client relationships as the primary delivery contact, keeping stakeholders aligned and confident

• Own change management — getting people, not just systems, ready for new ways of working

• Configure, integrate, and oversee implementation of the tools in our stack, coordinating specialists and contractors where needed

• Keep projects on time, in scope, and to a quality bar you're personally proud of

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in digital transformation, business analysis, solution delivery, systems implementation, or management/IT consulting

• A track record of **owning **project delivery end-to-end — you've been the person accountable, not just a contributor

• Strong business analysis and scoping ability: you can sit with a client, understand the operation, and design a solution

• Confidence managing senior client stakeholders and leading change, not just delivering software

• Hands-on familiarity with business systems — accounting (e.g. Xero), inventory and POS, automation/integration tooling (e.g. Make), and reporting/BI (e.g. Power BI). Breadth matters more than any single tool.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and the realities of a growing consultancy — you're building the function, not inheriting it

Nice to have

• Experience in hospitality, retail, distribution, or beverage/wine industries

• Exposure to data and forecasting, analytics, or BI-led transformation

• Project delivery in both SME and enterprise environments
