What we do

Our mission is to help businesses unlock customer value with bespoke web and mobile solutions or our in-house built platforms. At Urban Automation we are passionate about the work we do. We engage fully with our clients to ensure a thorough understanding of their business needs. Allowing us to design and deliver solutions that not only answer those needs, but also have business longevity built into the solution.
We are the system development partner for our clients - so whatever we design or build, we design and build it like we'll be co-owning it.

We believe that whenever you combine software engineering with domain expertise, you can improve a process or redefine an industry. We continuously ask “How can we make this better?” By using workflow, apps and maps we provide creative and effective solutions to businesses and various levels of institutions.

Urban Automation is based in Pretoria while servicing clients around South-Africa and abroad.

Our Culture

We're casual and we operate with a flat organisational structure - if you want to talk with anyone on our team, you just go and do it. No gatekeepers and no managers. We don't do fancy titles and strict hierarchies here, we prefer to focus on interesting work and solving challenging problems without having to deal with corporate hang-ups.

We are all about trust and responsibility. All team members are put in charge of specific parts of projects and are left to complete the work, self-motivation and autonomy are key characteristics of every one.

Our hiring process

We first have an informal chat, get to know you and why you would like to join our team.

If we can see a future together, we will invite you to do an online assessment in your own time, just to make sure you'll be able to hit the ground running.

After the online assessment, we will introduce you to the rest of the team to make an informed decision.

The last step is to finalise all the legal stuff and discuss a start date.
