What we do
Spoorex is a revolutionary tool that takes game breeders into the 21st Century. The industry is a $1 billion per annum market that was being powered by pen and paper. Seriously. As in, people use pen and paper to manage their R300 million farming operations. This meant that there is practically no data for analysis and as a result, the pricing of an animal when you come to buy or sell is abstract. This meant farmers were losing heaps of money from poor investment decisions, and those at the top of the market monopolizing information. We are democratizing the whole industry by building the first valuation tool that aims to serve as an index for breeders.

Our Engineering Processes
Our processes on the engineering side are fairly relaxed. I will usually design the feature that needs to be build, run it by the development team who will send their feedback. Then during the build, engineers have complete autonomy before presenting it to the CEO for UAT, using JIRA to track the process. It is then pushed into the production environment.
Our Hiring Process
Personality is just as important as technical capabilities. We want to make sure that everybody can be the best of friends as we will literally spend most of our time together. As such we like to test both technical abilities and personality. The former will be done through a simple engineering test, i.e. implementing a small feature and the personality test will be undertaken via an informal chat with the founders.
