What we do
Ruin Studio is a design and development agency creating websites, apps, branding, architectural visualisations and marketing materials for client across a range of industries. We've worked with co-working spaces, record labels, housebuilders and ejection seat manufacturers in the past year alone and are continuing to grow.
Why Work For Us
At Ruin, we work as a fully remote team meaning that you get to choose where, when and how you work. We aim to give you the resources and infrastructure to empower you to work in a way that works best for you.
This includes an allowance for a co-working space if you want, or just some money to spend in coffee shops, as well as the equipment you need to get the job done. We also don't have fixes hours, so you can start work anytime between 8-10am and finish 8 hours after you started.
We're working on interesting and technically challenging projects and aim to push the boundaries in everything we do. We're looking for creative and ambitious team members who can manage their own time and relish in the freedom to create in a way that suits them.
Ruin started as a tiny agency in East London and has since expanded to include team members across the UK and a couple in Europe and we're now looking to expand further.
Unsurprisingly, we have a friendly, young and casual culture which focuses on personal responsibility and trust. We don't want to be checking in every hour, rather we outline your tasks for the next few days and let you complete them as you see fit.
Our Engineering Processes
We work on multiple different stacks due to the variety of work that we do. This ranges from React Native, React & Node (via Firebase) stack, to more traditional Wordpress & Shopify development using our custom templates and live-reloading workflows, all built in-house.
All of our processes rely on git and utilise modern development environments and build tools such as webpack and gulp.
Our Hiring Process
Our hiring process depends on the exact role we are hiring for, however it will usually consist of a short take-home technical exercise followed up by a video call with our Technical Director.
