Brodie Robertson, founder and managing director of Manuva Group (Pty) Ltd, always believes that health is a person’s most valuable asset. His beliefs became ever so apparent when he became partially disabled due to a severe injury to his lower back. With no clear alternative and being riddled with debilitating pain, surgery seemed to be the only solution to being physically active again.
During the time leading up to the surgery, he was coincidently introduced to a personal trainer, who has specialised in injury rehabilitation. Apprehensive about the surgery, Brodie decided to postpone the operation and undertake personal training as a last resort before opting for invasive surgery.
After a few months of intense and consistent personal training, Brodie found himself to be pain free and once again able to participate in physical activities. Throughout his journey to recovery, Brodie gained insight into business-related frustrations felt by health, wellness and fitness professionals. These frustrations and his personal experience combined with his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for wellbeing, led him to identify a niche in the market place and thus Manuva was born.
