At j5 International, we are passionate about software. Our agile teams work together to develop Operations Management and Process Safety applications for a global client base. We have developed software products for some pretty well known clients, including Chevron Cape Town, the United Nations, JFK Airport and De Beers as well as hundreds of other clients in the industrial world (check out the map on our website to find out more about where our software is used). Every day we get to interact with partners and clients across the globe and engage with leading software technologies. We are about getting the brightest people together to create innovative solutions and break ground in the industrial and software world.

Our Engineering Process
Our Hiring Process
Step 1: Receive CV , academic transcripts and any other supporting documentation
Step 2: Send out developer questionnaire and code exercise
Step 3: Internal review and assessment of candidate
Step 4: If step 3 is positive, the candidate is invited for a first interview, 3 team members (generally HR, Team lead and Tech Lead would be in attendance). The main intention of this interview is to introduce the company in more detail, what we actually do, and the company culture. The rest of the interview, we assess the candidate’s technical abilities and depth of knowledge.
Step 5: If the first interview is successful and all round positive, the candidate is invited to a second (and final) interview with the senior management team ( the MD and senior developers/founders would be in attendance)
Step 6: If the candidate is successful, then we make a written job offer
