What we do
F-Secure Cyber Security is traditionally an information security consulting company. This means that organisations contract us to test the security of their web applications, infrastructure, mobile applications and anything else that could be protecting assets. Once we have performed an assessment, we provide them with a vulnerability report containing all issues and recommended corrective actions. A "white hat hacking company" if you will.
However, in the last 4 years we have realised that some problems simply can't be solved through consultancy. They require custom software to be developed. Subsequently, MWR has spawned off Countercept to provide defensive capabilities to our clients. In short, Countercept builds cutting edge technologies to help identify when malicious threat actors are attacking out clients and providing the tools to combat these attacks in real time.
Developing these tools offer a multitude of challenges to software and testing engineers. We operate across both Windows and Unix environments, across multiple countries and have to handle reliability, performance and scalability across dozens of clients and thousands of endpoints.
Some of our software is used here: Countercept & Phishd
We are a young company with big aspirations to solve difficult problems. We work hard and play hard and each member of the team is respected and heard. We love dreaming up crazy ideas...that just might work. And then they do :)
We need people that can work with a variety of technologies, including web and desktop. We highly prefer people that enjoy experimenting with new technologies; after all, perhaps Erlang or Go fits the project requirements better.
We don’t want to give our developers requirements; we want them to solve problems.
Our Engineering Processes
We are firm believers in automation. We operate a continuous integration and deployment environment with a strong focus on quality and speed. This philosophy allows us to automate and get rid of the mundane tasks and focus on development of interesting problems.
Our Hiring Process
