Summary

What we do

Bloodhound creates and supports workforce management solutions for use in a number of industry sectors. Our systems comprise a full suite of software products required to support the needs of the market, from mobile apps, admin interfaces, operational support and reporting tools.
Our Product Development team is focused on creating and maintaining an industry leading and innovative suite of products. We work on a combination of new products and features as well as maintaining, optimizing and improving existing products already active in the market.

Why Work For Us

As a small team we have the opportunity to allow every member of the team to get involved in all areas of the product development. We also have the benefit of having a big say in what features will be built and how they should be developed.

As a company we are always looking to push the boundaries of what we can achieve and so we are also interested in emerging technologies and research. Every member of the team is encouraged to identify new tools and skills that can be used within our platform and so there is a great chance to learn new skills and increase your personal capabilities.

Our Culture

Within the team our primary focus is on delivering great products, in order to do this we try create an environment that allows our team to focus on whats important. what this means in practice; we do not have any dress code, we work on a flexi-time agreement that means that the entire team will have some part of the day in common but allows the early birds or night owls freedom to structure their day in a way that suit them, and we are open to remote working for some part of the work week.

Our Engineering Processes

We work in an agile manner, prioritizing our next sprint each fortnight. Our goal is to ensure that we can show real progress on a short cycle, by keeping our targets short we hope to keep the work we do interesting.

Our Hiring Process

Our typical hiring process will involve three steps
Firstly, an initial interview with the CTO and/or a lead dev. In this session we hope to get a good idea of who you are, what special skills you can bring to the team and what you are looking for in a job. It is also extremely important to make sure that you get a good idea of the company and what you can expect from working for us in this session. This first round can be in person or via a video call.

Assuming everything goes well in the first round we will then ask you to complete some form of task that will allow us to assess your technical skills. The exact details of this task will vary depending on the role but we try make sure is challenging enough to allow you to show your skills but also short enough that it will not take too much time to complete.

The last phase will be a face to face session where we will ask you to talk about the work completed in your assessment as well as meet some of the other members of the team. and cover of any final questions we, or you, have about the role.
